The Dot

Young children everywhere will enjoy my illustrated book The Dot. Young children will identify to the stick drawings and feel they can draw a story too. The Dot can talk to the reader. The Dot had a party with friends and got tired and slept under a tree. One day, the Dot was hot, hot, hot! Another day, the Dot was cold, cold, cold! The Dot got stepped on and moved to a better place. The moral of my story is that children are small people that can talk, want to have fun, and have feelings and that it is best to walk away when someone hurts you. Just like the Dot, you can find a better place.

A little girl who writes without using a 'dot'or a fullstop in her sentences learns the importance of it from Mr. Dot himself. Through this story narrated in rhyme, the reader learns how even the smallest things deserve respect.

The Dot Story

A simple dot can be the start of a circle or a straight line and a combination of these can produce many interesting shapes.

As a child, I loved dot to dot puzzles. I liked the idea of having an image form before my eyes as I progressed. However, most books took part of the mystery element away by filling in a lot of the detail with the dots only making up the outline. With the Mystery Dot to Dot series, we want to bring that mystery back. This particular book contains 34 mystery dot to dot puzzles made up of at most 100 dots. Connecting them will give you images of animals, fruits, vehicles and even popular characters. This is the easiest book in the series.
